The 3 Day Diet menu consists of several different types of foods, many of which are probably already in your kitchen.  Look over the menu and create a shopping list of the items you don’t have. Then, you will be ready to begin the 3-Day Diet.

3 Day Diet Menu Plan

The 3-Day Diet menu plan consists of three days worth of meals. These meals add up to approximately 1,000 calories a day.  Along with these meals, people need to drink four glasses of water or diet soda each day.

Day 1

Breakfast consists of:

  • Black coffee, tea or water
  • You can use Sweet & Low or Equal in your coffee or tea
  • Half of a grapefruit or 4 ounces of  pink grapefruit juice
  • Slice of toast with one tablespoon of peanut butter

Lunch is:

  • A half cup of water packed tuna
  • Slice of toast
  • Black coffee, tea or water

For dinner, you can have:

  • 3 ounces of lean beef or chicken
  • Cup of green beans
  • Cup of carrots
  • 4 ounces of vanilla ice cream
  • Apple
  • Black coffee, tea or water

Day 2

On the second day of the diet, breakfast consists of:

  • Black coffee, tea or water
  • Scrambled or boiled egg
  • A half of a banana
  • Slice of toast

Lunch is:

  • Cup of low fat cottage cheese, plain low fat yogurt or water packed tuna (you can only select one item)
  • 8 regular sized saltine crackers

For dinner, you can eat:

  • 2 beef hotdogs
  • Cup of broccoli or cabbage
  • A half cup of carrots
  • A half of a banana
  • A half a cup of vanilla ice cream

Day 3

Day 3 is the final day of the 3-Day Diet. When day three rolls around, you can start your day with:

  • Black coffee, tea or water
  • 5 regular sized saltine crackers
  • Slice of cheddar cheese
  • Apple

For lunch, you can eat:

  • Boiled egg
  • Slice of toast
  • Black coffee, tea or water

Dinner consists of:

  • Cup of tuna
  • Cup of carrots
  • Cup of cauliflower
  • Cup of melon
  • A half cup of regular vanilla ice cream
  • Black coffee, tea or water

While it is recommended that people follow the 3-Day Diet exactly, you can get away with a few substitutions.   For instance, you can substitute chicken for tuna.  You can also substitute beats for carrots, and toast for saltines (and vice versa).

Additionally, you can eat frozen yogurt instead of ice cream, and an orange instead of a grapefruit.

Don’t make any substitutions outside of these options.  You have to follow the diet closely if you are going to achieve the optimal results.

Now that you know the 3 Day Diet Menu, it is time to make a shopping list so you can start the plan.  Since you only have to shop for three days, you will be able to get the items you need in no time. Then, you can start working toward your weight loss goal.
